This week, I traveled over 200 miles! I drove from my home in Mossel Bay over the mountains to Oudtshoorn to attend the science conference and visit Cango Caves. After returning to Mossel Bay, I went on a quick day trip down the coast to hike to a beautiful waterfall and see the Big Tree.
This week, I visited Boomplaas Cave, a cave that is currently being excavated by archaeologists. There are lots of exciting Stone Age artifacts being discovered there. I will be going to help excavate this cave in two weeks.
