I traveled up the entire east coast of Australia. We flew up north from Gold Coast to Cairns. Once in Cairns Queensland, we took the ferry to Fitzroy Island one day and to the Great Barrier Reef the other day. At the end of the week, we flew to Sydney, New South Wales! In total, we flew around 3,121 miles throughout the week!
Most of my travels have been throughout the last two weeks during my holiday break. However, I've also gone to Brisbane, North Stradbroke Island, up to Sunshine Coast and mainly stayed within the 1,000 miles radius traveling by car or train. This week was the first time I've flown domestically in Australia since arriving here.
This week I got around the cities by walking, flights, biking, Ubers, buses, trains and ferries. We did a lot of commuting!
The most interesting place I saw this week was the Great Barrier Reef and the Sydney Opera House. I will post photos from the reef once uploaded from the waterproof digital camera. These two spots were the #1 spot I wanted to visit in my study abroad journey. There was so much to explore at the reef. The Opera house was majestic and I enjoyed Sydney the most in my trip!
