こんにちは (Hello!). My name is Trey Roark. I'm 21 years old, originally from Arkansas in the United States. I am currently studying abroad at Temple University in Tokyo, Japan! I grew up in Arkansas, the land of mountains and Walmart. I left Arkansas to go to Wake Forest University in North Carolina and pursue a degree in Statistics and Japanese Language & Culture. For my senior honors thesis, I studied the impacts of diverse learning through different programming languages. Thanks to the Gilman Scholarship, I'm able to spend the last semester of my undergraduate career here in Tokyo. I'm living in a city called Kamikitazawa in Tokyo Prefecture, surrounded by delicious food, wonderful local shops, and of course everyone's favorite mini-store: Seven-Eleven. To complete my Japanese Language & Culture degree, I'm applying what I've learned in the States here in Japan, studying at Temple University, which is about a 40-minute train ride from where I live. I'm excited to share all of my exhilarating journeys across Japan and speak with you all about your own experiences as well!
