Hi! I’m Trinh, and this year I’m living in Can Tho as a Fulbright English Teaching Assistant. Can Tho is a city in Vietnam’s Mekong Delta. That means I get to spend my days working with students and my free time exploring a part of the world that is very different from where I grew up. Before moving to Vietnam, I graduated from Princeton where I studied neuroscience and computer science. Outside the classroom, I love hiking, baking, trying new foods and visiting places I’ve never been before. Since arriving in Vietnam, I’ve gotten to explore busy cities, ride boats through incredible landscapes, taste dishes I had never heard of and learn about everyday life from the people I meet. Through this journey, I want to show you what international travel is really like—not just the famous sights, but also the funny moments, surprises, challenges, food, school life and small things that make a place feel unique.
