Hi everyone! My name is True, and I'm 20 years old, and I'm from New York City. I’m currently a student at the Fashion Institute of Technology, where I study Advertising and Marketing. Growing up in the vibrant and diverse world of New York City shaped who I am today. It’s a city filled with voices, perspectives, and untold stories, and it’s where I discovered my passion for listening and giving people a platform to share their experiences.
For me, storytelling is more than just a passion, it’s a way to connect people. That’s why I decided to step outside my comfort zone and study abroad in Barcelona, Spain. Leaving behind everything familiar in NYC has given me the opportunity to immerse myself in a new culture, embrace different perspectives, and truly get to know my surroundings on a deeper level.
Language has always been an important part of who I am. Growing up, I spoke Spanish, but I never had the chance to fully develop it in school. That’s why I’m so excited about my program in Barcelona.
