Tung Tung: Goodbye but Not Farewell

Sometimes, I felt really embarrassed at the grocery store. Or, someone yelled at me because I did something I didn't realize was wrong. But when I get to share everything, the good and the bad, I remember how special this experience was. You can do it too!

When I applied to be a Reach the World traveler, I had no idea it would feel this personal and close to home. Literally! I'm so excited that I got to connect with my favorite teacher from elementary school. Thank you all for your interest in Kosovo and welcoming me into your classroom. It was so fun getting to know all of you. You have a really great class! When we can finally leave our homes safely, I hope you think of me on your next adventure.

It’s hard to say mirupafshim, but that’s why we can say tung! I think tung is fitting for us because it can also be used to say hello. So, while right now I’m using it to say “bye,” hopefully sometime down the road I will be using it to say “hello!”
