Hi, everyone! My name is Tylan Johnson, and I’m 26 years old. I was born and raised in the vibrant city of Detroit, Michigan, and I’m currently a senior at Florida A&M University (FAMU), where I’m majoring in Supply Chain Management. This year, I have the incredible opportunity to study abroad in Germany for six months as an exchange student, and I couldn’t be more excited to share this journey with you all! As someone passionate about global trade and logistics, I can’t wait to dive into the heart of Europe’s thriving supply chain systems and learn how they connect the world.
But this adventure is about more than just academics. I’m proud to be a participant in the Reach the World Volunteer Program, where I’ll get to connect with young students back home to share my experiences abroad. Through pictures, stories, and virtual chats, I hope to bring the excitement of Germany to life and inspire kids to dream big about their own futures. From exploring castles and tasting traditional foods like pretzels and schnitzel to learning German phrases and navigating bustling cities, I want to show them that the world is full of possibilities. Outside of school, I love playing volleyball and rugby, cooking up delicious meals, and going sightseeing in new places.
My journey to Germany is not just about where I’m going but about how I’ll grow. This experience will challenge me to step outside my comfort zone, adapt to new environments, and gain skills that will help me succeed in the global workforce. I’m so grateful for this opportunity to represent my school, my city, and myself on a global stage. I hope to return home not only with new knowledge but also with a deeper understanding of the world and my place in it. Thank you for joining me on this journey – I can’t wait to share it with you!
