Traveler Bio

Ahoj (Hello)! My name is Tyler Moore, and I am 23 years old from Bangor, Pennsylvania, in the Pocono Mountains. Growing up, I spent a lot of time skiing at Blue Mountain, playing soccer with friends, and exploring the nature around my hometown. After high school at Pleasant Valley, I went on to study Economics and Political Science at Villanova University near Philadelphia, where I found a love for education. Now, I am beginning an exciting journey to Slovakia as a Fulbright English Teaching Assistant, where I will be teaching high school students English in a small town in northern Slovakia called Námestovo. I am looking forward to learning the Slovak culture, trying traditional dishes like bryndzové halušky (potato dumplings with creamy sheep cheese and bacon!), and exploring the Tatras Mountains through hiking and skiing. I am also looking forward to discovering other parts of Europe while I am here. I cannot wait for the new experiences I will have through my journey in Slovakia, and I am excited to share my adventures with you!
