My name is Veronica, and I am a student of History and the Middle East currently studying in Amman, Jordan. I grew up in northern California around lots of mountains, forests and natural spaces, all of which spurred my sense of independence and adventure. I have always loved reading and traveling and learning about other people, so History became a favorite interest of mine.
I have traveled around to most of the United States, including a brief time that I lived and worked in a small Alaskan village. I have also visited our lovely neighboring countries, Canada and Mexico, a few times. A few years back, I backpacked around Europe for almost three months. This is my first time in the Middle East, and I am very excited about this new opportunity to learn about a place that many people never get to see and often misunderstand. It is important to me that I visit all the places that I study so that I can see them for myself, and not just learn about them from a book.
