Marhaba! This is the Jordanian way to say "Hello!" My name is Veronica and I am an American traveler studying in Amman, Jordan. Jordan is a very special place right in the middle of the Middle East. The country is full of amazing history!
I grew up in Northern California in a place called Shasta County. My hometown is nestled below two national forests where there are mountains and volcanoes and many rivers and lakes. I love nature, books, storytelling, and learning about history and cultures. This semester, I was awarded the Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship to study abroad in Amman, Jordan and practice my language skills. When I return to the U.S. in December, I will graduate and look for new adventures on the East Coast.
I cannot wait to show you this inspiring place and I hope you have as much fun as I do on our adventure!
