I didn't go on any trips this week, so I only traveled my usual commute to and from Potsdam for work. That trip is about 15 miles each way.
I've traveled about 3,000 miles visiting cities outside of the Berlin and Potsdam areas, but I've also traveled about 1,000 miles back and forth between Berlin and Potsdam.
This week I got around by S-bahn, which is the above ground train, U-bahn, which is the subway, and bus.
I went to a movie theater that reminded me of the Lincoln Center in New York City. The building felt very fancy and there were multiple places to get coffee and drinks. It was much nicer than the more plain movie theaters that I'm used to going to back home.
My personal travel news is that I got my residence permit this week. As an American, I am only allowed to stay in Germany for 90 days without any visa or special permission from the government. Now that I have my residence permit, I can live here until the end of next summer.
