I am a student at the University of North Texas, and this year I decided to take a big risk and move to Italy for my final fall semester. I major in Art and film at my home university and have been wanting to travel for a very long time. I chose Italy because of its long history of artists. A portion of my degree is to study art so I found it to be the perfect place to learn from the masters of the Renaissance. Italy is very different from Texas, lots of people here drive on Vespas which is a super cool and efficient way of getting around the city.
I have met a lot of really nice students in my program who make me feel that this journey was more than worth the risk of change. I enjoy the food as well, there are bakeries on every corner where you can get a croissant or a cornetto in Italian, and a cappuccino the typical breakfast for Italians. The journey to Italy has been beautiful with the rolling hills of Tuscany mixed with the fashion-forward city of Florence there is so much to love.
