My first week in Spain I traveled around Madrid and went to Toledo.
I went outside of Madrid by going into Toledo! The distance between Madrid and Toledo is 41.63 miles.
During my first week of Spain I travelled around by walking because everything was so new and exciting. I also took public transportation, such as the bus and the train. I also took the rail service to Toledo, which is different than the metro system. Think of the rail service like the LIRR or Amtrack and the metro trains like the MTA!
Toledo was the most interesting place I visited my first week in Spain. I learned that it was once the capital of Spain and that it has strong Christian, Mulsim, and Jewish influences all through the town and its traditions.
After my first week, I went to the Netherlands and France, which I will be talking about later!
