My name is Zachary Harker. I am originally from Fort Collins, Colorado. Growing up, I loved hiking, skiing, playing soccer, and, of course, traveling! I also worked at a wing restaurant, called Wing Shack, where I discovered that chicken wings are one of my favorite foods. After graduating high school, I went to the University of Denver, where I studied Geography and French. I also had fun participating in clubs, like Club Soccer, Ping Pong Club, Film Club and English Tutoring.
In my third year of college, I studied abroad in Lyon, France. After four months in Lyon, I fell in love with French culture, language, and their way of life. I knew that I wanted to return after I graduated. I have had the amazing opportunity to return to France as a Fulbright English Teaching Assistant. Here in Lille, I am working at a local high school, supporting over 15 different English classes! From museums, coffee shops, old military bases and amazing food, Lille has so much to offer. I cannot wait to meet you all and embark on this journey together!
