I am excited to share with you all as I explore Seoul, South Korea and possibly other areas in the region. This will be the first completely foreign country I have been to and I am both nervous and excited! As a psychology major who was raised multi-culturally in a minority group, getting to understand other cultures is very important to me. Growing up, mental health was always an avoided topic, so I strongly believe in bringing equity and understanding in different cultures.
Coming from a state nicknamed the Evergreen State, I am a complete nature lover. Washington state is a state filled with tall evergreen trees, mountains and bodies of water connected to the Pacific Ocean. I grew up around beaches and stunning nature. I like to collect rocks, shells, and sand dollars, and watch the wildlife all around me. There are many days I get a show from a seal at the beach, catching fish and being followed by seagulls trying to snatch his catch away. I plan to be just as adventurous in the beautiful terrain of South Korea, to explore nature and visit their beautiful natural landscapes!
I hope to open up your eyes and minds to the opportunities that could be in your future, to be an explorer and never hold yourself back to adventure. Let's explore South Korea's beautiful land and learn about their beautiful culture alongside me.
