This week, we traveled 3,000 miles from Miami, Florida to La Paz Bolivia. Then, we traveled another 15 miles, from the center of La Paz to the village of Jupapina, where we are now staying.
So far, we have traveled approximately 3,015 miles.
We have taken two airplanes (from the United States to Peru, and then from Peru to La Paz, Bolivia). We have also taken several taxis, minibuses and Mi Teleférico, La Paz’s cable car system.
Honestly, the most interesting place we visited this week was Up Close Bolivia, nestled in the heart of the Jupapina valley. Here on the organization's property, there are three volunteer houses, Emma and Rolando's family house and a small campground. The scenery here is absolutely beautiful. There is an overwhelming sense of calmness and serenity. It is truly like no other place we have ever visited before.
