The weather has been absolutely beautiful all week! We've had warm, sunny weather almost every day. But because we are staying up in the mountains (at an elevation of about 2,000 feet above sea level), the nights are quite cool. Often the high temperature during the day is around 70 degrees Fahrenheit, while the lows at night are around 50 degrees Fahrenheit.
This week, we saw dogs, birds, and even a wild fox on our friend's farm! But by far, the most exciting animal we saw this week was our friend's new puppy. Her name is Layla, and she is about eight weeks old. She is so sweet, cuddly, and full of energy!
This week, Josh and I went on a short hike with our friends Kyle and Brooke. Brooke lives here, and she owns and operates a small organic produce farm. Kyle is a childhood friend of ours who is now a professional chef in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Josh, Kyle, and I are all visiting Brooke, as we help her with the fall harvest on her farm.
