Hop on, Mate, and Explore Australia's Public Transport with Me!

How did I feel when I tried this way of getting around?:

There are so many reasons I enjoy using Australia's public transportation systems! Firstly, the trains are double-decker, so I can enjoy views of the ocean from two different perspectives on the same ride. I love watching the view, listening to music and podcasts and working on my crochet projects while I ride. The buses and trains are usually clean and on time, and I always feel safe riding them. I can get pretty much anywhere I want to go by bus or train, like the beach, grocery store and even national parks where I like to go hiking! Most of all, using public transport here is much cheaper than owning a car. Owning a vehicle is expensive here due to the cost of car insurance, gas (which they call "petrol") and road tolls. In contrast, a short bus or train ride costs between $2-3 Australian dollars, and if you take multiple rides in a day, the maximum you will pay is $17.80 during the week and $8.90 on the weekends. Some of the downsides of public transportation here are that it requires more planning to reach your destination, and the journey takes longer than it would by car because you make multiple stops along the way. Overall, though, I think these challenges have allowed me to be more intentional with where I travel, as well as to be more patient!

Is this way of getting around connected to the culture and environment, How?:

I think because you can use public transport to access so many different places around New South Wales, including national parks, museums and beaches, it shows that the city intends to make these places accessible to everybody. And, since the P.T.
