Farewell

However, I could never quite adapt to having them on my pizza or in my tacos or quesadillas. It's just not for me.

Things I'm looking forward to when I return to the United States: being home in my bed, seeing my family, and my friends and being with my partner. I'll be heading to Germany for two weeks this summer to visit my family in June and then coming back to Houston briefly and preparing to start my new graduate program.

As a whole, I believe that I will look back fondly on this past year. I feel that I improved my Spanish, and I was able to learn about a new global perspective while making lifelong ties. If there is any advice that I could ever offer young minds, it would be to start considering doing a cultural exchange while you're young in order to learn a new language and explore a new culture. Check out Rotary, if you get the chance!

Thank you for following along on this journey with me! Best wishes to you all!
