From Sogomoso to Bogota, I bussed 110 miles and then flew to Armenia (a city in Eje Cafetero) which was 170 miles. After returning to Bogota for a day, I flew to San Andrés which was another 783 miles.
Far!
I traveled by bus, airplane, motor taxi (motorcycles) and by foot. The motor taxi was by far my favorite way of getting around.
The most interesting visit I had this week was the trip I took to a coffee farm in Salento. It was so beautiful seeing the lush farm and being able to pick some of the "beans" off the plant. Fun fact, coffee "beans" are actually berries! They are naturally sweet and turn red when they are ready to be picked.
I will be heading to the city of Cali this upcoming Thursday.
