I would definitely eat both foods again. There were many other foods I wanted to try, so I will definitely eat Lebanese food again. My challenge to you is to try one new food every day! You never know, maybe you will like it.
The Lebanese food I ate was prepared at a restaurant called Maroush. It was prepared in a kitchen that I could see into from the seating area of the restaurant. The food was almost cooked right in front of me. The falafel was rolled into a ball and deep fried, while the chicken liver sauteed in a pan. The pita bread was baked in the oven. I think each dish could easily be made at home.
While the food ties to the culture, because London is full of people of many different cultures, I do not think this food connects to the local environment. London is a city, and chicken, fruits and vegetables are grown on farms. I believe the food came from the outside of London in the country areas. I think it would be awesome if there was a farm or garden in the middle of the city, and if there is, I hope I find it on my explorations.
