I thought that was interesting because I'm used to seeing cows in a big open pasture in the middle of some corn fields. There were also horses in that field, and I found out later that people can ride horses through one of the parks in the city. I have never ridden a horse, and I hope to do that while I am in London. I also got to see pigeons and seagulls. All of the animals left us alone except the seagulls. One was flying above me and then, out of nowhere, it swooped down and almost hit me in the head! It was a little scary, but I am bigger than a bird so I wasn't that scared. I love animals and miss living out in the country. I hope to find more when I explore London in the weeks to come.
It was so cool to find nature in London! London is filled with lots of people, building and stores. When I went for a walk, though, I found a large park filled with green grass and picinic tables. I got so happy I started jumping up and down. I had not realized I missed seeing nature everywhere I go until I realized I was not seeing it very much in London. As I walked around the city more, I was able to find small plants in the balconies of buildings and bushes in front of apartments. The little plants made me happy because they reminded me of home.
How early does the sun set where you live? Here in London, it is dark by 4:00 or 5:00 p.m. everyday. This is really early for me! My last class was at 4:00 p.m. today, and I walked outside and was surprised to see that the sun had gone away. I love the sunshine and it makes me sad that the sun sets so early.
