This week I traveled 3,262 miles. I flew on a plane from Detroit, Michigan to London, England. I flew on a plane for the first time. The flight was not as bad as I thought it was going to be. The seats were uncomfortable. Plus I unfortunately got a little motion sick and was light-headed. But I had the chance to try airplane food, which was not bad, and the people I was sitting next to were nice. I was scared at first to fly in a plane. How is it possible that such a large piece of metal is able to stay in the air? Science is amazing, and I survived my trip.
During the week, the farthest I traveled was two hours away. My university has two campuses where students can study. I live in Kensington, and the other campus is Richmond. I had a class in Richmond today, and I got lost on my way home. I got on the wrong bus, which took me in the wrong direction and farther away from home. My phone does not work here, so I could not use GPS. I couldn't find a paper map, so I almost got stuck in a random city in England! You may be wondering, how did I get home? The answer is that I walked to a store and asked the receptionist where I could find the closest Tube station. Unfortunately, there was no tube station and I had to take a train home. I had to switch from train to train three times. It took me two hours to get home!
