There is not enough money being allocated to groups combatting homelessness, and there are not enough shelters to help everyone. To truly help the homeless, more public funding needs to be provided to address the core issues of health and abuse before people become homeless. The government and local agencies need to be proactive in providing resources to support mental health and affordable housing before people are living on the streets.
