Many of us take language for granted, but it is fascinating that we can make shared understanding literally out of air. In that sense, language is a superpower, and Spanish opens many opportunities.
Both mojarra frita, which is a type of fried fish served whole, and plantains are staples in Colombian cuisine. Both of these delicious foods are produced locally in the community where I live.
