안녕하세요, 여러분! (Annyeonghaseyo, yeoreobun; Hello, everyone)! My name is Alexus, I am a Georgia State University student majoring in English Literature and Film Media Studies. I was raised in Atlanta, Georgia, which is my hometown! Growing up in such a diverse city, I was naturally drawn to the Korean community that exists within my city. This early exposure to the Korean community and culture sparked my interest in pursuing a study abroad program in South Korea. Now, as a student studying abroad in Yeosu, South Korea, I am pursuing this life-long dream!
While studying abroad, I will be enrolled in Korean language and Film Media Studies courses. These classes, along with the guidance of my Korean professors, will help me conduct research for my honors thesis. Every day is a new chapter in this journey of discovery, from navigating language barriers to experiencing firsthand the traditions and innovations that define modern Korea. I am excited to discuss these experiences with you. I'd also love to hear about your favorite foods, movies, and hobbies! Let's share our stories and interests to learn from each other! I am so excited to meet you and look forward to sharing the stories and moments from this amazing adventure with you!
