Wenzhou is known for its rainy weather, and this week did not disappoint! We had a few days of cold, rainy weather followed by two lovely sunny days. Everyone enjoyed the sun a lot more after having to hide indoors for so long!
I saw many stray cats and dogs near my university. They are skinny and like to hang out in the grass, and they also do not like rainy days. Sometimes when I wake up early, I can hear birds chirping outside my window.
In my city, the lower sections of all tree trunks have been painted white. I am still trying to come out with ideas for why this is. One of my friends said it is to protect the trees from bugs.
One cool thing is that when you walk around at night, you can see the tree trunks very clearly! It is almost as if they glow in the dark!
