Last weekend, I traveled to Nice, France which was about five hours or 240 miles away from Grenoble.
Over this past semester, I have had the chance to travel around France to cities like Paris, Dijon, Nice, Marseille and Lyon. Also, I have been able to travel outside of France to Spain, Morocco and Switzerland. In total, that’s about 8,500 miles so far!
In France, public transportation is fast, inexpensive and can take you almost anywhere in the city. To get to and from my university, I take a 15-minute tram ride. Most things, like shopping or restaurants, are within walking distance. Unlike in my hometown of Cleveland, Ohio, having a car is not necessary!
Last weekend, I went to the Southern French town called Nice, which is a part of the French Riviera, or the southern coastal region. Famous for its beaches and views of the Mediterranean Sea, Nice is also known for its beautiful weather. It is a popular vacation destination. Some of my favorite parts of my trip were visiting the farmers' markets in the historic part of the city and the paved path next to the coastline of the city called La Promenade des Anglais.
