The time has come to say farewell to my Reach the World followers and future explorer colleagues!

I have lived in Cambodia for about four months now (and have about six months to go), and I have learned so much. The city of Siem Reap has proven to be one of my favorite cities I've lived in. It is always a very lively place, with new decorations going up every holiday and many tourists coming in and out of the city. During my time here, I've been able to meet people from all around the world, including Germany, Australia, Japan, China and England.

The Cambodian friends that I've made so far are wonderful people. My best friend here, Malish, has been my go-to person when it comes to having someone to go out and try new foods with or go with to see new movies. She will be leaving next month to get her degree in international relations in Australia. I'm so proud of her! It has been really great to be able to make good friends even in a country where I don't speak the language. It has shown me that there are wonderful people everywhere in the world, and my friends here in Cambodia have truly made my time here so special.

Studying archaeology in Cambodia has also been an incredible experience. I've learned that climates can vary widely across the different provinces in Cambodia.
