Environment of Paraguay

On top of that, due to climate change, many of the historic fishing communities have begun to flood, requiring retaining walls or other fixes (for example, my town has a big wall). In recent years, Paraguay has been experiencing record high temperatures and, with that, consistent wildfires in the northwest part of the country.

How have people been adapting to this environment?:

Many farmers and small-scale gardeners have been changing what crops they grow and their irrigation systems to better suit the changing climate and to conserve water. Social changes have also started, in that people are beginning to practice and promote protecting the forests and refraining from deforestation. Many people have begun to take part in reforestation practices or more sustainable methods. Additionally, protective measures like stilting houses or building large scale retaining walls are becoming more common.
