It used to be called the Hiroshima Prefectural Industrial Promotion Hall, and it was used to showcase art. The atomic bomb was dropped almost right on top of the building, and even though most of it was destroyed, the skeleton remained intact. That building is still standing today, and it is kept as a reminder of the destruction that war can cause on the world.
