The best meal I had this week was a spinach salad with raisins and some cheese with a palmera de chocolate. Palmeras de chocolate are my FAVORITE things to eat in Spain and they are so cheap! They taste kind of like fried dough in a heart-shaped cookie form and are covered in chocolate. The best part is.. they're only sixty cents and you can find them everywhere!
I listened to a lot of reggaeton this week which is a fast-paced genre of Spanish music. It is very popular here in Spain amongst teens. I like to listen to it when I go running at the gym because it keeps me awake and motivated to keep running, and it's so much fun to sing and dance to!
The most fun activity this week was playing "Simon Says" with some of my students. My students are sometimes so tired when they come to class that I like to play a game with them to wake them up. Simon Says is so much fun because they get to do crazy things like dancing like a monkey or a scuba diver. My students had so much fun, and we laughed a lot! We laughed so much I was crying! It was the best part of my week!
This week I finished a novel that I bought while I was in Scotland. It was called A Christmas Wish. It was about siblings that got separated when they were young after their mother passed away and how they overcame obstacles of poverty and violence to become successful and reunite in the future. I have started to fall in love with reading again. I forgot how much I loved it.
