I did not travel too far this week. I travel to the schools I work in, which are about twenty and thirty minutes outside of Oviedo. I also took a quick trip to Gijon, which is a town fifteen minutes from Oviedo. I love Gijon because it has a beach, and I love to visit the beach when it gets warm.
Since I moved to Spain I have traveled around Europe. I have been to Portugal, Iceland, Switzerland, Scotland, Hungary, and the Czech Republic. I have also traveld to many areas in Asturias like Gijon, Llanes, Aviles, Luarca and Cudillero. I love to travel, and I take advantage of any free time that I have to take a trip!
I usually walk around the city of Oviedo because nothing is that far away from where I live. Sometimes I take the city buses, which are 1.20 per ride, but when it is nice out I walk. To get to work I meet up with teachers and they drive me to and from school.
The most interesting place I visited this week was the Parque de Sanfranciso in Oviedo. It is a HUGE park in the middle of Oviedo that everyone goes to. There are fountains, a pond, benches, and a play area for the little kids. It was so nice to see everyone outside enjoying the warm(ish) weather.
