This week I traveled all the way to London on a four-hour train ride with friends! It was super fun, actually and it is easy to travel in the United Kingdom. I can't wait to explore more places!
Edinburgh, Scotland, is about 3,200 miles away from where I live near Boston, MA. This is about a 7-hour plane ride across the Atlantic Ocean. I visited Glasgow, the capital of Scotland, this past month, and I traveled to London this past week!
In Edinburgh, I usually walk to most places. But I do use the bus system here, as it is really good. I also used the train to get to London. When in London, I used the Underground tube system to get around the city. Fun fact: cars drive on the left side of the road here and have the steering wheel on the right side.
The most interesting place I visited this week was Calton Hill. It is a really fun place to visit, with amazing views and cool monuments with a lot of history. It has a National Monument that was never finished. I saw the whole city from the top of the hill, which was so cool! It is also free to visit, and it's one of Edinburgh's famous hills. It is 328 feet above sea level, and much easier to get to than Arthur's Seat.
