Hello, my name is Andrej Radic. I am a 28-year-old doctoral student studying history at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque, but I was born and raised in San Diego, California and completed my chemistry B.S. and history M.A. in Santa Barbara and San Diego, respectively. My current research focuses on how economic differences, particularly gaps in income and production on a local and regional level can foster social and economic instability.
I was fortunate to receive a Fulbright Research Grant for the 2019-2020 school year in order to study these effects, and my plan is to travel to several archives in different cities around Croatia. This also means we will be able to see regional changes and different historical landmarks across Croatia, including regional variations in architecture, building materials, and the effect of the incorporation of different regions into various different states throughout history.
I'm so glad you'll be joining me on this adventure... let's go!
