What was the best meal this week?:

When I was returning from my vacation, I stopped at my favorite resturant in the capital of Lesotho, which is an Indian restaurant. I love Indian food and will buy enough naan, coconut rice and buttered chicken to last me a week! Anything to delay me from having to cook!

What music did I listen to this week?:

The national music of Lesotho is called famo, consisting of singing accompanied by the accordion, a drum and occasionally a bass. I'll have your teacher play you a YouTube video of famo music. It is played loudly in any taxi that you get in, and if you happen to be waiting at a large taxi rank, you will probably have someone come up to you asking for money while playing the accordion and singing a popular famo song. I used to like it when I first arrived, but after hearing it so much on taxis, I'm sad to say that I'm not as big of a fan as I once was. I like to listen to music when I'm home, and lately I've been creating a playlist of my favorite Joni Mitchell songs.

What activity was the most fun this week?:

The most fun activity that I did this week was my visit to a planetarium, located about 90 minutes east of Lesotho in a town called Bloemfontein. I was returning from my vacation to Cape Town so I decided to stop by the planetarium since I heard they were having a special presentation. It was a great time! Growing up, I loved learning about outer space. My county had a planetarium so I often went there with my mom whenever they had events. Fun fact... South Africa has the world's sixth largest telescope, called the Southern African Large Telescope (S.A.L.T.).
