I traveled three hours by car to Sumava, which is the countryside in the Czech Republic! My family and I went there for Easter weekend. The mountain range that is here is shared by Germany and Austria, which is really cool.
So far, I have traveled 5,000 miles across the Atlantic from Alabama to the Czech Republic, and I have traveled 120 miles from Prague to Sumava.
I used the metro, bus and car to get around this week. While in Prague, I took the metro, which is an underground train like the subway in New York. I also used the bus system, which is very reliable and has a wait time of about five minutes. Lastly, the car helped me get to the countryside! I also did a lot of walking!
The most interesting place I visited this week was the forest here in Sumava. The tall trees are really amazing, and the views of the fields and mountains are something I will never get used to! It looks like something out of a postcard.
