I traveled a total of seven hours this week! As I have been very sick this past week, I mostly rested at home. However, I did go to school twice this week which resulted in four hours of travel time, and I also went to visit the student health office which was another two hours. Finally, when I met up with my friend it took me around an hour of travel time from the restaurant and back.
It usually takes me around 45 minutes to get to school which is around 9 kilometers away, and another 45 minutes back with a tram and bus.
The farthest I traveled on my journey so far has been getting here! From California to Bordeaux, France it has been around 12 hours of air time and 9,200 kilometers of distance. I also visited the Dune du Pilat which was an hour away by bus, and 57 kilometers away by distance.
I get around mostly by the bus and the tram. Here, you can get a monthly or yearly pass for the local public transportation through what is called the Transports Bordeaux Métropole (TBM). The TBM includes trams, buses, and even river shuttles on the Garrone river! I have a TBM card and pay for the monthly pass, so it is quite easy and accessible to get from place to place.
