My favorite activity was scuba diving because I got to swim 50 feet underwater to swim with fish and other beautiful sea creatures.
Our trip came to an end in Cape Town, South Africa on March 15, 2020. The country of South Africa was about to shut down, and it was rumored that the United States was about to go into lockdown as well. Because of this, I only had three days to explore the diverse country. Interacting with the locals showed their passion, kindness and vibrant culture. Some of my favorite photos from my trip are of the penguin colony and the southernmost point of South Africa overlooking the ocean.
Although my study abroad trip was full of ups and downs due to the global pandemic, it fueled my love for traveling, learning about other cultures and becoming a better global citizen. I hope that if you ever have the chance to study abroad or travel, you take full advantage of what our beautiful world has to offer.
