I can't believe that it is all over! Tomorrow (May 13th), I get on a plane to Los Angeles, saying goodbye to the place I called "home" for four months! This past week, other than studying for finals and having final hoorahs with my friends, I have been struggling to find out how I feel. How can I say goodbye to the place where I made lifelong friends, taught my first high school classroom, partied like there was no tomorrow and got to make so many deep connections with the locals? It is also how I was able to connect with you guys! Buenos Aires will always hold such a special place in my heart!

People always think that leaving a place and going back home is easier than settling in, but for me leaving is the hardest part the longer I stay in another place. I am super excited to go back home. My family, my partner, my friends, my cat and my dog, everyone is so excited to finally have me back after months away and god-awful reception when we do get to call over the phone. Despite this, I am also leaving another family behind. My host mom opened up her family and home to me. I will miss her daughter Carmela who was an amazing support for me, and Francisco, Carmela's son.
