Travel News

How far did I travel this week?:

First, I travelled to and from Trier, Germany, which is 37 miles each way. Then, I travelled to and from Belvaux, Luxembourg, which is 3 miles each way. Finally, I travelled to and from Bruges, Belgium, which is 165 miles each way. 37+37+3+3+165+165=410 miles travelled! To give you an example, that would be from Cincinnati, Ohio to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina!

How far have I traveled on this journey so far?:

This week, I've travelled 410 miles. To get to Luxembourg I travelled 4,270 miles by plane. Total, I've travelled 4,680 miles. That's as long as 82,368 football fields put together!

How did I get around this week?:

I got around using buses and trains. Remember, in Luxembourg, these forms of transportation are free, but outside of Luxembourg, they cost money. We took many different trains to get to Bruges from Differdange. First, we went from Differdange to Luxembourg City. Luxembourg City is the capital of Luxembourg, like how Washington D.C. is the capital of the United States. When you take a train, here, you don't always have a train that goes directly to the city you want to go to. So we went through Liège, Belgium and switched trains there. Our final train went from Liège to Bruges.
