Fairies and Lambs Galore!

Come with me to Counties Leitrim and Mayo! I learned about fairies in Sheemore, Co (short for County) Leitrim, then I went hiking and saw lambs in Achill, Co Mayo. (Mayo is not short for mayonnaise!)

This is the inside of a car in Ireland. What do you notice is different from a car in the US?
This is called a hawthorn tree. It is said that fairies live in hawthorn trees, so no one is allowed to cut one down unless they want bad luck!
This is a horse that was grazing at the top of the fairy hill I climbed called Sheemore, which comes from the Irish "Sí Mór," which means "big fairy (hill)!" Maybe this was a fairy horse
This is a place called Keem Bay in Achill Island, Co Mayo! This lamb was really close to the road and we had a bit of a staredown because we were curious about each other
This is the west-most tip of Achill Island, Co Mayo! It is called Achill Head. It was beautiful, so I wanted a picture in front of it!
This is an older Irish couple I met hiking this mountain in Achill Island. They were very kind and we made sure each other did not get lost!
This is a mountain sheep running away from me with her lamb. The lamb did not follow its mother immediately, it was curious who I was!
This is me halfway up a mountain in Achill Island, County Mayo. It was very steep and difficult to climb, but the views were rewarding
