This was by far the most exciting moment I had when it comes to the wildlife here in Rio. I hope you enjoy the pictures I provided!
The coolest thing I saw in nature this week was a wild Toco Toucan at the botanical garden. It was really cool! Like I mentioned earlier, it was cool seeing this animal because it is something I have only ever seen on TV or in a movie. When I saw it, the bird was making noises and flying around with another birds from tree to tree. I have only seen this animal at the botanical garden. They only live in very specific habitats, you can't expect to see these birds in day to day life if you visit Rio.
Fun fact: During my time in Rio it has been fall and winter so it has rained quite a bit, which was unexpected for me. We had plenty of beautiful sunny days here, but also had rain almost every week. Now it is December and we are entering summertime here, since we are in the southern hemisphere.
