Hey Class, my name is Bayo Collins and I am from Long Beach, California. I enjoy spending time with friends and family, trying new foods, going to the movies, and finding new ways to express my creativity. I am currently a senior at UC Berkeley studying Interdisciplinary Studies. This is a creative major that allows me to study many different topics. Some of my current interests are the ethics of Artificial Intelligence and the varied experiences of Black people across the globe. This semester, I am studying abroad in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. I chose to come here because Brazil has a rich Black culture and offers me the opportunity to explore a culture similar to mine (but also very different). I have been here for almost 2 months now and I have so much to share with you all! I am looking forward to connecting and having you along for the ride during the rest of my journey. Talk to you soon!
