There's Always Time For A Fiesta

For this reason, many Dominicans celebrate Christian holidays like Christmas and Three Kings Day. Spending time with family is also extremely important in the DR, which is why many Dominicans celebrate the holidays with their relatives.

Is this tradition connected to its environment? How?:

While the weather in the DR is slightly cooler during December and January, it's usually still 70-90 degrees outside. So even though Christmas and Christmas Eve are thought of as "winter" holidays in most of the U.S., in the DR, there isn't a similar association between the holiday season and snow.
