The weather in Leicester has been non-stop rain for the past three weeks. This week the weather will be extremely cold and rainy. The temperature is supposed to drop to below freezing every night. The rain is not consistent, so it can rain for a few minutes then stop and start raining again in another hour. Always have an umbrella with you when traveling around because you never know when it is going to rain!
The animals in Leicester are similar to those back home, so I always see a lot of birds and squirrels. There are about 100 or more geese that live in the canal beside campus. You can always find people feeding them bread!
The coolest thing in Leicester is Castle Gardens, which is very close to my campus. Castle Gardens is a park area that I walk through every time I go to the grocery store. There is also a canal that runs through the gardens and alongside campus.
