The weather is quite similar to the weather in my part of Illinois at this time of year, meaning that it has been cool and cloudy for the most part. Most days it has rained for virtually the whole day with the occasional snow shower when temperatures were cold enough.
Unfortunately, where I live in the city, there is not much variety in terms of animals. Mostly, I see only pigeons around and the occasional stray cat on campus. Some people here have small dogs as pets, so I can see cute dogs once in a while on days when the weather is better.
Now that we are really getting into winter, the beautiful fall leaves are all gone, and it looks dreary outside. But it did start to snow very prettily this week! It was the first decent snow I've seen since I got here, and it made everything look so nice and peaceful outside.
