Hello! My name is Bonnie Chen, and I am a 21-year-old student studying abroad in the beautiful city of Florence, Italy! I am originally from California State University, Long Beach (CSULB) where I major in healthcare administration and minor in human resource management. Some of my hobbies are watching funny movies with my friends, going to music concerts, trying new foods and traveling!
I was born and raised in southern California. Besides traveling to nearby states and to Taiwan once, I never really got the chance to travel as much as I would like too. Studying abroad seemed like the perfect opportunity for me to explore Italy and Europe, and to fully immerse myself in a culture so different from my own.
From now until the end of December, I am ready to take in everything this opportunity has to offer. I promised myself to be open-minded to anything and everything, so this trip will be full of surprises and adventure. I am nervous and outside my comfort zone, but I am also excited for this opportunity--and even more excited to share it with all of you!
