This week, across the whole Czech Republic, it was much colder than usual and many places, including Bruntál, got several inches of snow. Usually, in the winter months, the sun doesn't come out very often, but I'm hoping for a sunny day next week!
There aren't many wild animals near where I live, so this week I really only saw people walking their dogs.
This week, I went on a hike in the mountains about 30 minutes away from where I live and I experienced an inversion for the first time. Usually, when you climb higher up into the mountains, the air gets colder. But during a weather inversion, cold air slides down the mountain into the valley, and warm air sits on top, kind of like a lid. So, as I climbed higher into the mountains, the temperature actually got warmer, it got sunnier and it looked almost like I was above all of the clouds (that were trapping the cold air). This was pretty cool to experience!
