Traveler Bio

Ahoj (that's hello in Czech)! My name is Bree Patzke, and I’m so excited to share my journey with you from across the ocean in the Czech Republic! I’ve always been curious about how people in different parts of the world live, learn, and celebrate their cultures, and that curiosity led me here.

I’m spending my time abroad in the Czech Republic serving as a Fulbright English Teaching Assistant. While here, I’ll be helping students improve their English at an Engineering and Business School in the Northern Moravian town of Bruntal. I'll also be teaching them about history, culture, and life in the USA.

I'm so excited for the chance to immerse myself in Czech culture while sharing what life is like back home. Living abroad challenges me to step outside my comfort zone, ask questions, learn a new language, and see the world from a new perspective. I hope that by following my journey, you’ll get to imagine what it feels like to walk through a thousand-year-old town square, hike through the Jeseniky Mountains, and partake in countless Czech cultural celebrations.

I can’t wait to learn and share alongside you on this journey, and to show how exciting and connected our world really is!
